BBC News, fuel povery

The BBC and other news publications have reported that if one spends 10% of one's income on gas and fuel, then that constitutes one as being in fuel poverty.

If I earn £100 a week and spend £10 on condoms, then am I in sex poverty? Or if Olga spends £60 on shoes, but then earns only £500 a month, is she in foot poverty?

Send more Beer to Britain, forget the credit crunch, we're all in alcohol poverty.
